The members of the band at the end of the year included: Dorothy Bruning, Dorothy Sevey, Betty J. Stevenson, Darlene Cochran, Margaret Furgason, Cele- stine'Hollingshead, Darlene Tresler, Alice Fee, Margaret Smith, Betty Smith, Betty Bevins, Betty Campbell, Jerry Fassler, and Leona Furgason. Barbara Fassler dropped out in March. The band, under the direction of Miss Evans, has shown definite improvement during the past year. Regular rehearsals have been held twice weekly during the school yearg and small groups and soloists have practiced the other three days of the week. The band played for the first time this year at the basketball game, November 15, and proved very popular with the audience. It continued playing at basketball games the rest of the season, and was one of the high- lights of those evenings. Jerry Fassler played a trombone solo, nCalm 'as the Nightn at the Declamatory Contest held November 25. Doro- thy Bruning played nbamentn and nCalln Ctrumpet solosl at the Senior Class Play held April 15 and 16. The band's repertoire includes: MARCHES: Hello-March, Time Out, Drum Major Man, Bells on Parade, the Hee Down, Every Man for Himself,The Old Army Came, Old McDonald, Pop Goes 'the Weaa sel--Novelty Arrangement, Steppin' Out,Line Up, Under Escort, Sound Off, Color Guard, Headway,' Service, Laurel, Courage, Improvement, At Sight, Progress, Little Rastus, and Success. WALTZES: Maybell, Annette, and Cuckoo FOX TRCT: Don a Do Dat Jerry Fassler and Margaret Smith played trombone and clarinet solos for Baccalaureate and Dorothy Bruning play- ed a trumpet solo for Commencement. p Ulu! nv.
