Because of this, we have been able to learn more musical numbers instead of concentrating on the contest group The girls made their first appearance at the Junior Class Play singing HAmerica the Beautiful.H On December 18, they sang Christmas carols at the half of the Quimby- Washta basketball game. They also sang carols in the halls during Christmas week. On February 24, the Girls' Glee Club sang uNow Thank We All Our God,U UAmerican Prayer,H and nGrandfather's Clocku at the Girl Reserve Bazaar and Bake Sale.' ' Between the acts on March 26, the Glee nNow Thank We All Our Baccalaureate, May 2, HNow'Thank We All Our Eyes.u ler, Betty Stevenson, of the three Quimby one-act plays, club sang HAmerica the Beautiful,n God,U and HAmerican Prayer.n For the girls sang HGreen Cathedra1,n God,U and UThe Night Has a Thousand Darlene Peck, Jerry King, Jean Carnahan, Jerry Fass- and Dorothy Bruning were members of our sextette. Their first appearance was on March when they sang at the Quimby Women's Club. On November ll, the girls sang HAll Out for American at the school Armistice program. Uwhere the Mountains Meet the Sky,n and the Hurdy- Gurdy Mann were the two numbers rendered by the group at the November 25th Declamatory contest. Three numbers were sung by the sextette, nHurdy-Gurdy Man,H UBig Brown Bearn and HAll Out for America,N at the One-act Plays which were held on March 12. ' Geraldine Fassler, Darlene Peck, and Dick Bleil have made appearances as soloists at different school func tions. Geraldine sang two numbers, HI Heard a Forest Prayingn and Rose in the Buda at Commencementg Darlene sang mAh, Sweet Mystery of Lifen and Dick sang HShipmates O' Minen at the Senior Class Play on'April 15 and 16.
