So thought ton Courtright, the first graders: Tommy Conley, Clay- Richard Hammond, Betty Hueser, Barbara Kay Ring, Joyce Larsen, Kenneth Ludwig, Bennie Robeson, Delbert Saxen, Richard Schallau, Jimmy bmith, Leonard Stieneke, Margaret Tresler, Celleen Clark, and the see- ond graders: Robert Armstrong, Pauline Cgnley, Virginia Lee Galvin, Au ust Huck, Virginia Lee hummer, Howard McCoy, Howard Sevey, Gerald Peterman, Geraldine Peter- man. Later several new members--Eugene Lyons, David Pearse, Archie admire, Darlene Hollenbeck, Jo Ann Small, Colleen Ann Hhite--came to join our group. During the year Dick Hammond, Joyce Larsen, Jimmy Smith,JoAnn Small Barbara Kay King, and Pauline Conley transferred to other schools. we celebrated our Holidays with parties and pro- grams. Un Halloween nc '.,t had a bean race, drew a tail on the black cat and hunted for peanuts, For our part of the Christmas program we presented ' nThe Toymaker's Dream.J The scene took place in the toymaker'sshop with David Pearse as the toymaker. Dressed as toys the children sat on the shelves and paraded around the room. The Rhythm Band, conducted by Tommy Conley, played at the Christmas program, One Act Plays and husic Eight. J5tars and Stripes Forever,N nThe Toymaker's Dream and HPop Goes the Weaseln were our favorite numbers. Mar- garet Tresler played our homemade Xylophone that was added to the Rhythm Band last fall. On 1-lusic Night, the Old Zfoman Who Lived in a Shoe welcomed Mother Goose and her children as they came tripping out of the shoe singing their Nursery Rhymes for our musical play dwother Goose on Parade.n An Lskimo unit, a toy city having streets with stop and go signs, a transportation unit, coping saw carpen- try, crayon fancywvork, a shadowgraph theater, and art scrapbooks displayed at the exhibit closed our year's activities.
