' These were Kenneth Ahl- gren, Donald Baum, Betty Bevins, Robert Bruning, Norbert Bumann, Betty Campbell, Forrest Day, Joe Elliott, Duane Fee, Darrell Graham, Lorne Hahn, Joyce Hartliep, Jo Ann Harvey, Leland Hueser, LeRoy Jenness, Robert Kummer, Mil- dred Larsen, Darlene Petersen, Beverly Pinkerton, Hazel Robeson, Betty Saxen, Francis Schallau, Cathryn Selk, and Carol Stratton. Carl Klingborg of Grand Meadow joined the class in January, and Howard Johns of Mapleton joined in March, bringing the number up to twenty-six. For its leaders, the class chose Joyce Hartliep as president, Kenneth Ahlgren as vice-president, Duane Fee as secretary and treasurer, Robert Bruning as student council representative, and Miss Wollesen as sponsor. The freshmen were properly initiated into the ways of high school life by the seniors on October 21. This class sponsored two very successful parties-- one on November 4, when the sophomore class members and the faculty members were our guests, and another on March 51, when each member invited a friend. A number of freshman found time to take part in the extra-curricular activities of the school. These inclu- ded declamatory, music, and athletics. eseeeeeeeaeeesefeeeeee HWhat's the matter, little boy?N said the kind- hearted man. nAre you lost?n nNo,N was the manful an- swer, HI a1n't lostg I'm here.
