Stowe Board of Trustees VVith an increased membership of twenty- seven full members, fourteen advisorv members, and four honorary members, the Board of Trus- tees assists the Chancellor in administering college policy. Meeting semi-annually, the Board discusses Queens' role as a liberal arts college, explores ways of increasing the quality of the education of the undergraduate student, and supervises the use of funds for the physical growth of Queens. A great deal of the members' responsibilities involve serving on efficient standing commit- tees. This year an important committee set up by the Board was the committee to select a new college president. Babb Coordinating the entire academic program, Dean Babb is in charge of developing and main- taining curriculum policies, recruiting new fa- culty members, and directing the scholarship program. Through his capable leadership Queens is able to maintain its high academic standing. His direct association with students this year included participation in the 'SHOW to Studyl' panel discussion and the K'Questions About Queens seminar. Dean Ann S. Gebhardt As Dean ofStudents, Mrs. Cebhardfs main con- cern is the students successful adjustment to group living and to approaching womanhood. Her position takes her into every phase of student life, from student government to per- sonal conferences and the signing of SP's for weekends. A constant model of the feminine ideals she upholds, she has a personal interest in each student and offers guidance during their years as students at Queens.
