The annual Retreat opening the 1953-54 school year began on September 16, and was conducted by Father Robert F. Grady of the Church of the Epiphany, Cliffside, New Jersey. In his sermons, Father included such topics as the peace which the world now seeks . . . a peace found only in union with Godg the reward of a good lifeg devotion to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament of His Loveg devotion to Our Blessed Lady, and finally the necessity of praying often to determine one's vocation. The student body assisted each morning at the Holy Sacrifice' of the Massg at the closing Mass, the students received Holy Communion. Students on the way to the opening of Retreat.
