Protect, O Lord, Thy Son's Vicar on earth, the Bishops, priests, Religious, and faithful. Grant that all. priests and laity, young, adults, and old, may form, through a firm union of intentions and affections, a solid rock against which the fury of Thy enemies will destroy itself. fProtection of the Church! May Thy grace enkindle in all men love toward the great numbers of unfortunate people whom poverty and misery have reduced to a condition of life unworthy of human beings. fLove for the Poor and Needy! Awaken in the souls of those who call Thee Father a hunger and thirst for social justice and fraternal charity, in deed and in truth. Klustice-Charity! Cod of all consolation! Profound is our misery, grave are our faults, nuxnberless our needs, but greater than all is our faith in Thee.
