Sophisticated eighth graders--Ahomeroom upstairs! --Learning to dance--Bravely eating our own cooking in Home Ec.--Part singing in music--First issue of the Key at three cents per--Stu- dentCouncil organized, first President - BillSwan--Bazaar project--Country fair with Albert and George auctioneering--Dedication offlagpole--Our first Gymkhana, Queen - Jerry Dumsha--Ny- lons and one inch heels--Spring Musicale and our presentation of excerpts from Oklahoma, Freshies--No cold homerooms for us- -Algebra- -ScienceC1asses make an all-day trip to Wash- ington to see the zoo and Smithsonian Institute-- Are you allowed to wear lipstick? --Our first tea dance a flop--Movie Week for C . H. S.--Completion of our first skirts in Home Ec.--Classes in the new building--Vocational Scrapbooks in Civics--I. Q. Tests and the feeling that we have no I.Q.'s--C lass beach party atConquest--Uninvited guests make away with our refreshments-- Monograms and Junior High letters. Silly Sophs.--Sr. High at last--We discover that we have to settle down and study--Cold homerooms again--Typing--Muddy shoes and torn coats on biology field trips-- Parlez-vous francais? --Lost snake loose in 10-A homeroom--We sponsored first Hillbilly Dance at C. H. S. --Biology Class visits Longwood Gardens on a rainy Saturday--Our first bake--First brush with Shakespeare, Julius Caesar --Selling Christmas cards and writing paper--Anxiously watching our slowly growing treasury--Varsity teams--Skating parties become the vogue--C. H. S. wins State Vol1eyba1lChampionship--Bill I and Elie chosen hat checks for the Prom--Track introduced --Lucky ones invited to the Prom--Varsity letters--Class party at night. Jollyjuniors--Shorthand--Ugh! -- Ihope I can get the car tonight! --Sadie Hawkins Dance-- We are introduced to the horse--George and Jim taking Home Ec,--Sr. Day at University of Mary- land--Class rings arrive--English Short-story notebook--Plans for new athletic field--Saturday Nite Recreation starts--No exams this year! ! !--Boys frantically trying to learn to dance in time for the Prom--F. F. A. Father and Son Banquet--We see Be1l, Book, and Candle at Ford's-- History classes make a trip to Washington and Mt. Vernon--Girls swoon at the sight of Nixon-- First May Festival-- Oh, I hope all the decorations come! --C. H. S. wins State Track Cham- pionship--We are unsuccessful in defending our Volleyball Championship after holding it for three years--Spike heels--Fountain leaks at the Prom--Breakfast at 2:00 A. M.-- What time did you get in? -- Je parle francais tres bien maintenant 'S wonderful to be Seniors-- Pinch me--It can't be true! --We are the first class in the school to have Social Customs--We welcome Tippy, Ruthie, Bill II, and Rod--Class pins--Student Court created--We attend Sr. Day at University of Maryland again-- How many announcements do you think I'll need? --We deliberate over caps, gowns, class colors, mottos, and name cards--Sr. Supper a huge success-- What - another Supper? --Mrs. Shea is surprised with a birthday cake baked on the sly--C. H. S. Band organized--Trying to meet Yearling Deadlines-- Would you like to buy an ad? --Career Day--Constructing a miniature Globe Theatre is not so easy so we thought-- Have you sent your application in yet? --Baby pictures collected--that 's you?--Snow, Snow, Snow! --We crystal gaze into the future--Class trip to New York--Junior - Senior Prom-- The big night--Quick, sure steps--Congratulations--Goodbyes--Happy memories ofC.
