Kerry McMahan and Mae Elbrandt who were King and Queen at Ski Acres on Queen Anne day . . . Jim Suzuki, who was Club president and was chosen on the Japanese all-American high school football team .... Many ofthe events of our lives at Queen Anne will stay in our minds for a long while. We will no doubt always recall the first day that we came to Queen Anne . . . the first date with that special boy or girl . . . the first final exam . . . the many assemblies . . . the P. T. A. dances . . . the first trip to the vice-principal's ofiice . . . the Senior year in general . . . the Lincoln-Queen Anne game in which Swede Wilson kicked a field goal with thirty seconds remaining in the game . . . the Senior Dinner-Dance . . . the Senior Assembly . . . the Senior picnic . . . the Commencement of '54 . . . and last but probably most, the Senior Prom. Yes, our high school days have been glorious ones, but with four years on the Hilltop completed we must move on to meet the new challenges of life. Before we leave however, We wish to especially thank the faculty, our parents, and Mr. Baker, our class advisor, for their much appreciated help. Another year . . . another summer . . . another graduation .... Yes we the class of '54 have come to the end of our high school days and leave the hallowed halls of Queen Anne to take our places in America's future. lt has been a great four years for all of us. We have had fun and good times, but we realize, also, that our experiences throughout these four years have given us new knowledge and understanding which we will need to be good citizens of tomorroW's world. As we take our final look at Queen Anne, we pause for a while to recall some of the out- standing performers whom we will always remember for the part they played in the senior year of the class of '54. We will never forget Allan White and Jim Suzuki who headed our class as Senior Class presidents . . . Phil Gallaher and joy Vanasse as Boys' and Girls' Club presidents . . . Bob Green and Connie Jacobsen, who promoted student government through their leadership as Student Council presidents . . . Bob Sankey, who presided over Honor Society . . . Storm Jobs, John Simpson, Tom Nordstrom, and Margaret McMullin, who served as KUAY Weekly Editors in Chief and headed a staff which faithfully put out the KUAY . . . Carol Morrison, who was Editor-in-Chief of the annual and saw to it that the GRIZZLY of '54 is one of which the Senior Class can be proud . . . David Smith, Frank Bracher, Jeannie Lauckhart, and Joan Nielsen, who took the leads in the Senior Play . . . Bill Hartley and Marilyn Isenhath, who played a big part in making Kapers a success, as Senior directors . . . Bob Sankey and Barbara Black, who received the Phi Beta Kappa award given to two Queen Anne students with the best combination of activities and scholarship . . .
