Seated: John Flood, freasurerg Mr. Baker, adviser, Allan White, president. Standing: Ernie Filtz, vice-president and Bob Sankey, secretary. Another year . . . another summer . . . another graduation .... Yes we the class of '54 have come to the end of our high school days and leave the hallowed halls of Queen Anne to take our places in America's future. lt has been a great four years for all of us. We have had fun and good times, but we realize, also, that our experiences throughout these four years have given us new knowledge and understanding which we will need to be good citizens of tomorroW's world. As we take our final look at Queen Anne, we pause for a while to recall some of the out- standing performers whom we will always remember for the part they played in the senior year of the class of '54. We will never forget Allan White and Jim Suzuki who headed our class as Senior Class presidents . . . Phil Gallaher and joy Vanasse as Boys' and Girls' Club presidents . . . Bob Green and Connie Jacobsen, who promoted student government through their leadership as Student Council presidents . . . Bob Sankey, who presided over Honor Society . . . Storm Jobs, John Simpson, Tom Nordstrom, and Margaret McMullin, who served as KUAY Weekly Editors in Chief and headed a staff which faithfully put out the KUAY . . . Carol Morrison, who was Editor-in-Chief of the annual and saw to it that the GRIZZLY of '54 is one of which the Senior Class can be proud . . . David Smith, Frank Bracher, Jeannie Lauckhart, and Joan Nielsen, who took the leads in the Senior Play . . . Bill Hartley and Marilyn Isenhath, who played a big part in making Kapers a success, as Senior directors . . . Bob Sankey and Barbara Black, who received the Phi Beta Kappa award given to two Queen Anne students with the best combination of activities and scholarship . . . Bill Hartley, who brought recognition to Queen Anne by winning the state-wide Voice of Democracy Contest. COMMENCEMENT SPEAKERS ,,., ,f i n Phil Gallaher Beverly Hemb Barbara Block Bill Hartley 20
