Bvhimiinn E our beloved new principal, Mr. George S. Farmer, we are privileged and pleased to dedicate this 1952 Grizzly. Although he has served only one year as principal, Mr. Farmer already has won the friendship of the students and faculty with his friendly spirit and his vibrant personality. Ever since coming to Queen Anne, first as vice-principal, Mr. Farmer has taken personal interest in every student he has come to know. His keen concern and eager interest in people have made him friend as well as leader to the student body. He has encouraged and extended student government and influence at Queen Anne since becoming principal, The practice of a student presiding at assemblies is a notable example. His office door is open to any who seek guidance or help. This accessibility has effected a highly desirable and pleasant relationship between principal and student body. With best wishes for a long and satisfying term of service, we dedicate this annual to our Hne leader and wonderful friend, Principal George S. Farmer. 5

ong before the retirement of Mr. Luther from the Queen Anne High School principalship, school men far and wide knew that the person chosen as his successor would be most fortunate. The principal of any American high school is in an enviable position, but the principalship of Queen Anne is particularly attractive. The students represent a fine cross section of American youth, the parents are most interested and co-operative, and the faculty is outstanding. The accomplishment records of the students, present and past, are very high. The alumni include leaders in all walks of life. The school is rich in tradition. The forty-two year tenure of Mr. Luther as principal is not only unique as a record but also provided an excellent foundation upon which to build. I am appreciative of the many advantages of this position and look forward to the future with enthusiasm. 'GEORGE S. FARMER -1

1 illnrmnnrh EEAR ye! Hear ye! Hear ye! By royal proclamation of Her Majesty, the good Queen Anne, the following chronicle of her royal subjects is hereby set forth . . , the 1952 Grizzly. The good Queen might well take vicarious satisfaction in the noteworthy achievements of her illustrious heirs, not only in scholar- ship, athletics, and leadership, but also in personal development. Certainly the members of her court have brought honor and glory to themselves and to the Queen during their years at the stronghold of learning high on the hill which bears her name. 4 ' ' Within these pages we have sought to recount deeds of honor and achievements of merit and to inspire the successors to the royal courts to newer and greater accomplishments in the best of the Queen Anne tradition. 4 6
