It was a success . . . we hoped it was a sample of the great successes to come. Eagerly we searched our program, the Kuay, for mention of our names and

SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Cont d Now for the furst time we felt the thrnll of the brmght lnghts adapted ourselves to our roles tested the grease paint looked casual to cover our excitement got our fnrst sample of lnfe Then came the bug event The last year s sensors sat on the platform recesved their dnplomas graduated and WE were sensors We were at the top trlumphant and a little awed We selected Frank Proffntt Bull Stapleton Jerry Appy Al Jones and Bob Hughes to lead us an the begunnung of our last year and Al Jones Bull Stapleton Catherlne Stolle Grlffnth Way and Patty McLeod to succeed them We felt proud and very experienced when we cast our fnnal ballots on a real voting machnne wnth only a little help We honored our valedlctornan Bob Mnlkey and our saluta tornan Nelle O Connor We chose Margie Eardley and the faculty selected Jerry Appy as our other class speakers over practiced our entrances and were very excited Meanwhnle we made plans for our plcnrc Sensor Prom and Sensor Day The stage was set the curtain rose a few moments term unated four years of plannnng strlvsng seeknng the play was over Now we walked out the front door of the theater where we once stood as autograph seekers Whatever glory we achneved had been earned whatever fame we deserved had been well won Great and would be great walked out the door together proud that they had done their best or determuned to do even better We realized that nt was not the play rtself our graduation but the four years of preparataon that determined the success of our pro duction the preparatlon and careful coachnng by Kenneth Camp bell without which we would have failed So now a touch of sadness mungles wuth our pnde as we realize at as all over We clap out the press notices and carefully place them In our memory books The fnrst last and greatest per formance ummortalszed by the class of 38 JACQUELINE CASKIN I . , .
