I 7lf j:.Jf nge :5 .i1lerafc!ji4 J-f- j ' Among the outstanding achievements this year was the successful re-establishment of a school paper. Under the able leadership of Marie Kulackoski, Wfhe Angells Heraldj' has received wide acclaim. Each issue is chock- full of scoops from every field of interest. The events, poetry, jokes, and advertisements cleverly arranged in each monthly issue prove why Wfhe Angel's Heraldl' has superseded every other attempt to publish a periodical. The special talents of Misses King and Shelly have been demonstrated by their artistic abilities in the production of drawings to stimulate readers, interest. Whenever typewriters are heard clicking ,til all hours and the mimeograph whipping off papers, itis undoubtedly Misses Lehmann and Purtell, assistant editors, creating another issue. Rarely does any news escape publication, because every class is efficiently represented on the staff. Misses Spurk, Cooper, Huffman, Renzi, Ahern, and Blais gather all the information that is printed in the famous uSnoops a d My n a '.,Q, 0-- J'v0 . Q I I. NM. e ecreafion oom .SJmoLing oom N ufd my ouae Wofhera The spacious live-story nursesl home is under the supervision of Miss Mary Schnackerz and three assistants: Miss Catherine Boughey, Miss Veronica Moritz, and Mrs. May Criliith. Theirs is the ever constant responsibility of knowing where the stu- dents are, and when they are expected to return, keeping the nurses, home in tip-top condition, and overseeing the students in keeping the rules and regulations within the home. As the graduating student looks back, now' only can she really appreciate how important the house mothers are. Many wonderful holiday parties have been a suc- cess in our spacious recreation room. It also affords other fond memories as dancing to someoneis new records, Friday night Snack Bar , and community singing around the piano. We also have a separate smoking room, where rnuch of our off duty time is spent. lt is a favorite gathering place, even for those who don't smoke, to keep up with the latest chatter, listen to the radio, play cards, or just relax in one of the comfortable i chairs. Sixty-four enniri Courf Looking to the south of the nurses' home, one cannot miss the tennis court. This provides for the needed physical recreation of the students as well as the interns, residents, and hospital employees. After a busy day of hospital routine it is most invigorating to match oneis skill at tennis, either with friends or fellow students.
