Sharks, Soil, and Sulfuric Acid While movie fans flocked to area theatres to see mJaws starring that mechanical chordate called Bruce, Quantico had its own variety of a spec- imen known as Squalus acanthias. The mad scientists pursued it in an academ- ic sense, though, in their study of anat- omy. Meanwhile, neighbors down the hall analyzed soil samples, studied the nature of diseases, and on occasion the pungent smell of sulfuric acid jolted everybody's olfactory sense! He manages to keep up with his regular duties as well as to find time to take aspiring musicians to Fredericksburg. Both work with the elementary school band and orchestra groups, too.
