The girls track team, sponsored by Mrs. Temple and Mrs. Olinger, was brought about in mid-November. After Christmas, the twelve girl team began running every Tuesday and Thursday after school. Between these practice sessions, the girls also ran at home. The team is headed by co-captains Jean Bobincheck and Janice Bull. They hope to compete with other schools offer- ing girls trock in the spring. Although the turnout for members this year was small, the girls encourage all willing females to participate in the coming seasons. Girls Track

Student United Nations 5 E? it v Q I 2. ,J Since 1955 Quaker Valley has been an active member of the Western Pennsylvania Student United Nations, and we're still going strong. Through the year we have won Speaking Awards, and this year Quaker Valley won a Service Award for having a Local United Nations, which helps new members of S.U.N. get the feeling of debating and fast thinking.
