Tennis Club, new this year, proved successful in spite of inadequate facilities and large numbers of members. Miss Stevens taught novices the fundamentals of the game and gave many helpful hints to the more advanced players. During the winter the club was limited to the use of only one-half of the gym, but in the spring, intramural tournaments were organized at the court in Leetsdale Borough Park. The Pep Band, made up mostly of school band members, played at the majority of our home bas- ketball games. Having no oflicial sponsor, they st got together to show their support for the team. They contributed to the entertainment during the half-time shows and played Sweet Georgia Brown, the team's theme song, during the varsity warmups. Tennis Club-Pep Band
