, 'z 4, .4 -' The Q.V.H.S. Chorus for the 1967-68 school year culminated in membership this year boasting nearly 90 choraliers. Their lead- er, Mr. Leon Szura, led the chorus in success- ful programs for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holidays. Leading the school in Christmas Caroling was another of the chorus' diversified activities. The chorus also partici- pated in a song fest, hosted by Sewickley Academy, and presented various songs for the Episcopalian Century Club. The annual oper- etta, a musical comedy, year in early April. was presented this Okay, everybody sing! Chorus 46

Although the German Club could not meet as the other language clubs this year, it more than equaled them in achievement. The meetings were filled with newsreels, volksbieder, lively discussions, fine movies and stories from Herr Adams' wide personal experiences. Once again this year the club participated in a memorable choral program at the Buhl Planetarium. This year the Latin Club, sponsored by Mr. Walker, became the Junior Classical League with the state and gained national affiliation. The club's newspaper, MEMO- RANDA kept the students posted on cur- rent school events, as Well as articles on poetry and mythology. Club members sent projects to the Classical Association of Pittsburgh and sent representatives to par- ticipate in a Latin achievement test spon- sored by Allegheny County. During the year the members increased their knowledge of Latin and learned much about Roman culture. German Club, Latin Club
