With an abundance of prominent news events taking place this past school year, the World Affairs Club again strove to make its members more aware of the World situation. Quaker Valley again retained its status of having a Big Fivev country in Student United Nations. This year we represented Nationalist China, Upper Volta, Trinidad, Tobago, and Switzerland. As usual, Quaker Valley headed two large United Nations. In December, it hosted students from the Sewick- ley Academy and the Watson Home for a mock ECOSOC assembly, and in February, the club invited delegates from Taylor, Mon- tour, Quigley and again the Sewickley Acade- my to a mock General Assembly. The club also participated in American Field Service activities such as selling tickets for the A.F.S. Show and sponsoring an A.F.S. day in the Spring. Under the direction of Mr. Simpson, the club had a very fruitful year. if vtt Student Council Executive Board: Bunny Griffith, S.U.N., Don Haver, Sec., Becky Habbert, S.U.N., John Mitsak, V.
