Although she has many duties, it is evident that each student is important to her for she knows us all by name. During our years at Quabbin, Mrs. LaCroix has always taken care of our pro- blems with unending patience. Whether scheduling an appointment with the prin- cipal or answering the request for an early dismissal note, Mrs. LaCroix treated each of us as an individual and listened to our concerns. All of us appreciate her friendly smile and optimistic attitude. We are grateful for the extra time she has devoted to us. Throughout our high school years, we were fortunate to have Rick Stickle, Paul Morello, and Cliff Bancroft as our class advisors. Never lacking in imagination, they were always en- thusiastic about our ideas and they encourag- ed us to work together to successfully com- plete projects. They taught us how to solve problems and take the responsibility for ac- tivities ourselves. Their friendly and fun-loving personalitites showed us that having a good time during a fundraising event was more im- portant than the money we accumulated. We dedicate this yearbook to our class advisors in appreciation for the many contributions they have given to us. 13 M TIiMiftrSifOOMaui BbiMn $use iSkcM ypx SfafcwX K o m pSo n AmjGDofxr JfcHte tifiAke Aorvir 3bct CKc U«r VI LoriCUMjx (pJoiW iKMftl lAMrie SuiVi Kxn OtbonsL Uxii ) tblm MtOtrviatt ?odtc Blais UilliAiii HdkoSiP :p, Sl .lc3uis i Gironli Hetissfl Moqll tftimleiiir’ j ilbbi6(«Y OtMiSdrs Ustk Ha .1 n Bnioclyti . Xart HuJiMt I! ' e 6 c S When we, the class of 1 987, first entered Quabbin as S seventh graders, it seemed as if we were walking Jjj through a maze. There were many unfamiliar faces and “endless” corridors. As we became more comfortable with the fortress that would protect us and prepare us for the future, new mazes began to unfold: different classes to take, activities to join, and plans after graduation. Throughout our six years, we have defined ourselves as a class full of diversity, creativity, spirit, and togetherness. Although we will never be able to go back into the past, we will always have the memories of the experiences we’ve shared. Masson We, the editors of Exodus ’87, are proud of this yearbook. We hope you will treasure it as much as we enjoyed putting it together. We would like to thank Mrs. Jinx Hastings for all of her help, dedication, support, and for staying sane through all of our insanity. We, the editors, will never forget — “CED,” number — 73054, certain photos, decisions, deadlines, and that yellow pencil. We definitely have memories which will last forever! Times like these make a person wish that time could stand still. “Do you mean we can really never go back?’’ We will miss each other and only our memories of our time spent here at Quabbin will live on within each of us. We were here together and will always be the CLASS OF 1987! “No, now for we have gone through the maze.” Thank you for witnessing our growth and for sharing in a special time in our lives. For us, the staff of the year- book, Exodus 1987 has been the most fun we have had at Quabbin with a paper product! Sltfanks for all your uionderful years at GRADUATION to the QRHS class of ' 87 Each year ends like this, a parade of memories, slipping past in shiney blue gowns. Crisp September has changed to muggy June and all that filled the interval lines up to walk out leaving hollow hallways with nothing but shadows and echoes. Plaques are left behind to mark the championships, but the fields are empty, and where is the dark haired girl who met her love at the bottom of the stairs each morning? All the lockers, doors open, stand empty, even the desk tops are wiped clean and there is no tangible proof that anyone ever sat here. All summer this building will be dark and abandoned to mark this passing. The past walks alone at the end of this line. He has no partner.
