Headlines everyday announce events of significance in our lives. Contemporary affairs impjinge on us, affecting both small daily habits and our overall life design. Crowded busses, cutbacks in sports programs, and the restoration of a town bail affect us immediately. Energy resources, hazardous waste disposal and defense capabilities will have an impact on our future destinies. As we, the Class of 1 982, move on to assume leadership roles in the wider community, we will be obligated to understand the issues of the day so that we may make informed judgements. As concerned citizens we will participate in determining the direction of our world and in shaping the future for our children. This yearbook thus incorporates the history of our own class and the history of the community, state, and nation as it affects the Class of 1 982.
