A team is made up a group of people dedicated to hard work, long hours of practice, working togeth.- er, and the will to win. All this togeth- er with Mr. Campbell as coach, made the Varsity Soccer Team make their way to the top. This was the team that was first to beat Leominster twice in the same season, the team with 16-0-1 re- cord, and finally the team that ended up Western Mass. Champs and Central Mass. Champs. The victories were sweet, and the season was great, and it is obvious that there are many such seasons to come. c 85 TP ging season. The girls field hockey team had an encouragin The team was young, with only one senior participating. As the year progressed the girls developed rapidly in skills, plays, effort and determination. The season ended a lot better than it started, and the 1971 season should be great. With Miss Heath as coach, and the same will to win as the girls dispiayed-this year, the Quabbin Field Hockey Team will be something to be proud of. 93 Varsity Cross-Country, Tom Dorsey, Patrick O ' Connor , Jt!ffHalfrey, David Williams, David Gustafson, Mike Ger- main, Fay Butler, Dino Lamacchia, Randy Hardy, Charles Chase, Steve Cassano, Floyd Bo wles, J. The Varsity boys had an encouraging season. One of the big accomplishments of the year was the double victory over Ware High School. The 1970-1971 team was the first Quabbin team to defeat Ware twice in the same season. With their 10-10 record the team was able to compete in the Clark Tournament and the Monson Tournament. With Dennis ' height, Dave ' s shot, Steve ' s rebounding ability, Randy ' s speed and Jeff ' s defense the Quabbin Panther should be in for an even better season next year.
