This 1949-50 annual is the fifth consecutive yearbook put out by our students under the direction of Mrs. Strayhorn. Each years' book seems a little better than the year before and we are proud of this book and of those who have worked with it in order that we may injoy it for years to come. We all realize that the future of Pyote High School, and all other high schools of our size is uncertain, but we are planning for the future, striving for a better school for our students, year after year. We feel that our new improvements this year, the new apartments for the teachers, the new cafeteria and shop building, and the making of space available for a homemaking department, will make a better school for our community. At the same time it will help us keep our High School at Pyote. Anytime we cease to improve our school because we are afraid of the future we will have given up, and that we will never do.
