CLASS HISTORY Of the ten seniors in the graduating class of 1949 only two started to school in the firstgrade at Pyote. They are Charles and RobertHolt. Don Price and Joe Villalobos entered school here in the sixthgrade, Lila Lea McKenzie in the seventh, Lois Coursey and Linda Lee Vaughn in their Sophomore year, Dick Smith in the eleventh and Donna Rae Merrell and Kenneth Pearson entered in the senior year. Two classmates, Ldal tCowboyl Hughes and Melvin Fowler, joined the army during their junior year. Most of the students of the senior class have been interested in all athletics. Charles and Robert Holt and Don Price have been outstand- ing in all sports. Dick Smith and Joe Villalobos have also taken an active part. Senior members of the girls volleyball team are Lois Coursey, Linda Lee Vaughn and Lila Lea McKenzie. Class sponsors for our high school years have been Mrs. E. Moody, freshman, Virginia McCann, sophomore, Carol lVlcClendon,junior, and James Hughes and Carol McGlendon, senior. We give our thanks to these sponsors. As this year comes to a Close we look back and we wish to thank eve ryone for being so helpful and for the coope ration they have given us.
