.ik Q: , xi 7 I KE .4 1 1 Q E l Sophomore Class Ojfoors Eager and bursting with energy, the Sophomore Class, numbering 87, entered Putnam County High School. They started the year off in a big way by electing Les Grant, President, Nancy Forney, Vice President, Gary Grasser, Treasurerg Sandy Peterson, Secretaryg and Debbie Uzella, Class Reporter. Marcia Garabrant, Rodney Bazzani, and Betty Ann Urnikis were the sophomore representatives on the Student Council. Not only did they contribute Nancy Forney, Chris Carlson, and jackie Boggio as Junior Varsity Cheerleaders, but Rodney Bazzani, Tom Phillips, Bill Urnikis, Gary Chambers, and Randy Steffens as 1.V. Basketball players. The team received 2nd consolation in a sophomore tournament at St . Bede. Many sophomores participated and held officers in sports and school organiza- tions , The class also operated a coat check during the home basketball games . On February 10, the last Friday home game, the sophomores gave a sock hop which was very successful. The class deeply appreciated the advice of their sponsorsg Mr. Davis, Mrs. Blott, and Mr. Landrum. All 87 of these eager sophomores are waiting for upper classman day. 48
