Classes concerning English, Home Eco- nomics, and on-the-job training were put on the list of 170 other classes offered. Foods II was a study of nutrition, various unit foods such as salads, vegetables, meats and meat-substitutes. Clothing II was the prin- cipals of garment construction, grooming and care of fabrics. Home Nursing and Child Care taught caring for a new- born and the development and growth of children. 4 Marriage and F amilyf Home Planning studied the history and forms of marriage and bud- geting a family income. Fashion Merchandising was a vocational educational program. Industrial Co-operative Education was designed to offer students both classroom and job training not given by DE or COE. 1. PREPARATIONS are made by Stephanie Herron to lay out a pattern for a dress. 2. INDUSTRIAL arts student Mark Hart uses a drill on a project during class. 3. Tevye dreams, Tzeitel, Hodel, Chava marry Hloiie is as shaky as a fiddler on the roof, was spoken val- iantly by Tevye, the milkman of a small town, called A-Xnatevlca. This is the story of a Jewish family and community caught up in the tragedy of war and also the conflict of tradition and the upcoming generation. Performed by the drama and music departments, this play left a tear in one's eye and a message in the heart of all. 1. SABBATH lyrayer brings a moment of silent meditation for lid Kurtz, Motelg Gayle Pishkin, Tzeitelg and Denise Reinking as Hodel. 2. EERIE sensation is created by .lone Nelson, portraying Fruma-Sarah's ghost. 3. DO I love you? sings Golde, Lee Hickam, in reply to a question by Tevye, Don Colwell, in Scene One of Act Two. 4. FIDDLER, the imaginary character seen only by Tevye, is played by James McLish. 5. CHAVA, Cheryl Pitts, listens atten- tively while sister Tzeitel, Gayle Pishkin, explains the possible marriage the matchmaker may arrange for her, 3 Fiddler on the Roof 17
