PC 5. Has First usio Festival Big event of the year for Central's choral groups was attend- ing the first music festival ever held in Putnam City. Eleven schools attended this invitational. Dr. Warren Angell, music director at OBU, was guest speaker, and the Bison Glee Club performed. A night performance was opened to the public. Activities for the year included the annual Weatherford Festival, participation in the Thanksgiving assembly, two per formances with Central's band for the Christmas combination program, and a Spring Concert for Easter, Money raising projects for the year was a candy sale. Over half went to the March of Dimes, the rest was spent for supplies Coarl director, Mrs. Betty Patterson began her first year with Central, and she also teaches at Western Oaks.
