t Q- X I WN This year the annual staff has long anticipated the time when we could formally dedicate this 1959 annual to our sponsor, Mrs. Lois Thompson. Mrs. Thompson isn't just a teacher with an eight hour a day job. She is one who spends many extra hours of her own time in putting out the Treasure Chest, our annual. There are few people who could be more surprized to receive this honor and none who could be more deserving. For twenty-five years Mrs. Thompson has been teaching art. Seventeen of these years have been spent at Putnam City. Mrs. Thompson moved here from Montt, Missouri, her birthplace, when she was three years old. She attended and graduated from Classen High School. Upon graduation she entered Central State College where she majored in art and biology and minored in English. Her practice teaching was done at Edmond High School. She now holds a Bachelor of Science degree. Mrs. Thompson's family consists of her husband and two sons, Terry and Fred, both attending Putnam City. Dedicating this '59 Treasure Chest to Mrs. Thompson is the Annual Staffs way of expressing our thanks and appreciation for all of her hard work, time and patience in helping us prepare this annual for the student body. 3
