, ring fig, m ff' it ,. With forty years of school experience our Superintendent, Mr. D. D. Kirkland, has done a remarkable job in running Putnam City Schools for the past nine years. In these nine years our school district has witnessed the erection of many new buildings including the million dollar high school which was first in use this year. As this school system has continued to grow, so have the numerous jobs of our superintendent. Therefore, there will be an assistant superintendent next year. Filling the new position of assistant principal is Mr. Ralph Downs. Mr. Downs was a teacher at Purnam for eight previous years.
