f X I wtf' The Play Is The Thing ,4-uv' 'Q X R! ' 1 Lorne Johnston, Carolyn Star- key and Maxine Stanfield in Young April. V -rr SITTING: Pat Atlee, Sandra Baldwin. STANDING: Karalyn Pitts, Charles Foley, Chic Erickson and Lorne Johnston. The all-school play, Young April, and the junior play, We Shook the Family Tree, were presented at the first of this year under the capable direction of Mrs . Wood, drama and speech teacher. Young April centered around the McIntyre family and their many problems caused by their teen-age child- ren. We Shook the Family Tree also centered around a family who faced the problems created by their child- ren. In this case it took only the daughter, Hildegarde, to upset the Dolson family and their reputation in the community. The cast of We Shook the Family Tree are, SITTING: Ioan Myrick, Maxine Stanfield, Gwen Morris, Saundra Wayt, Gwen Huckabay. Presented By Chorus The combined groups, the Girls' Glee Club, Mixed Chorus, and ensem- bles presented the Fall Festival in November as a money-making project for the department. The theme was This Land of Ours and a patriotic idea was carried through. The chorus has three ensembles this year, a Girls' Quartet, Boys' Quartet, and Mixed Quartet. These groups have presented several pro- grams throughout the year. At the Armistice Day assembly program the mixed chorus presented two numbers. ROW ONE: F. Newman, C. Hanes, C. Adams, A. Mullikin, K. Cole, I. Team, B. Davis, S. Moore, C. Wit hee, M. Huston, H. Cullers and D. Bonham. ROW TWO: S. Potter, I. Hillerby, M. Tilley, C. Green, S. Freeman, J. Nabalek, I. Bivens, J, Johnson, A. Porter and M. Averitte. ROW THREE: S. Chaulk, I. Dungan, J. Kelley, I. Giesler, B1 King, C. Munday, R. Caffrey, B. Deatherage, J. Roberts, G. Ashmore, R. Cox and A. Cable. ROW FOUR: M. 'Poole, B. Stone, P. Chapman, C. Wilson, J. Smith, P. Poe, D. Gray, C. Beck- ett and R. Anderson.
