ss ssiiiie This busy man, and we do mean busy, is none other than our own Mr. Kirkland. He has been with us five years and in that time has made many improvements worthwhile to the school and the student body. In deep appreciation we salute you, Superintendent D. D. Kirkland. During the years Mr. Kirkland has been with us at Putnam, much progress has been made - Enrollment, has grown from a little more than 2, 000 to some 3, 750 - New rooms have been added to the gradesehool buildings and more are to he added during the next year - A new junior high building has been in use for the past two years and improvements have been planned for the high school building. As Santa Claus must have elves to help him, so must Mr. Kirkland have a secretary to help him. Mrs. Hubbard seems to have gotten the nod, She has been helping Santa Clause - - er, that is Mr. Kirkland, these past five years and she does a good job, too. She is Mrs. Sedberry, one of the best known and best loved of all our school personal. Congratulations to you on your graduation, and on being the largest class to graduate from our school. You number 160 people . Your class contains many students that possess outstanding ability and will go far in whatever endeavor they choose . Their leadership and scholar ship abilities have already been well established . To the class as a whole may I say that it has been a pleasure to work with you during the past three years .
