Mrs. Marjorie Hubbard's efficien- cy and cooperation are an asset to Mr. Kirkland as well as to the School Board. Mr. D. D. Kirkland has been Superintendent at the Put- nam City Schools for two years, previous to this he has thirty-two years experience in school administration which includes being President of the Oklahoma School Administrators and President of the Oklahoma Educa- tion Association. The expansion of the school has gone according to his plans. The new Junior High building has been started and will be ready for use next school year. Last year the school was admitted to the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges. Also an elementary supervisor has been added to the system. Mr. Kirkland has a B.A. degree from Northwestern State Teacher's College and an M.Ed. from the Univer- sity of Oklahoma. Letter to the Senior 1952 As you leave the halls and classrooms of Putnam City High School, a place that most of you hold dear to your hearts, my best wish- es go with you. You are to be congratulated on your accomplishments this far. Many of you have made outstanding rec- ords in one or more phases of your school life. After graduation some of you will be more successful than others. However, where ever you find yourself you may also find hap- piness in service and citizenship. Education without good citizenship traits leaves you far short of your potential mark. Yes, regardless of what station you may as- sume in life, good citizenship will always put you in good stead.
