Any hour of the day that you enter the shop you will find it a beehive of activity wi all sorts of furniture in the making and Mr. Drennan the center of it all, giving each boy pointers on his particular pro- ject. Mr. Drennan's classes also keep the broken furniture of the school in repair. WSTUDENTS, HOW YOU KNOW THAT DOESN'T SAY SHUEEKY.' Que es la leccion de hey? This department suffered a terrible set back during the Christmas Holidays when the Junior High Building burned, dee- troying the equipment o the Home Eco- nomics Department. But despite this lose, Mies Cochran has managed to keep the girls buey and interested in their work.

As Sponsor of the Putnam News Review he keeps the 'Jimmie Scoop's' using their noses for news. The cubs are always in a dither trying to make the deadline and put the paper to bed. Besides these duties he is also principal of the junior high, 'YOU MUST NOT LOOK AT YOUR KEYBOARDIU It is such a temptation to use the 'hunt and peck' system but Mrs. Fleming insists that all students learn the 'touch' system, When you enter her typing room it sounds like a million wood-peckers are at work because of the noise of the tapping keys. Mrs. Fleming also teaches bookkeeping which causes many students to burn the mid-night oil. This practice is called Uskull practiceu in which the boys learn their plays and positions. As athletic director Mr. Frost has complete charge of all athletic events for Putnam City High School. 'DOES IT HURT,PETE?n The part played by Assistant Coach AQ 'WATCH THAT MAN, HARMON:' Here we see coach Terrill prepar- ing to send a man into play. Few people realize the importance of the coach play ing the game from the bench. It is from here that a game is strategically played by the coach just as a general, behind the lines, directs a battle. Peters in the training of Putnam's bas- to many stud- kctball spuad is unknown ents. He makes sure that no player in- jures himself by playing on a sprained ankle or some other such injury with- out its being correctly taped, Mr, Peters is also the head of the commer- cial department in which he teaches typing, bookkeeping, and shorthand.
