As Sponsor of the Putnam News Review he keeps the 'Jimmie Scoop's' using their noses for news. The cubs are always in a dither trying to make the deadline and put the paper to bed. Besides these duties he is also principal of the junior high, 'YOU MUST NOT LOOK AT YOUR KEYBOARDIU It is such a temptation to use the 'hunt and peck' system but Mrs. Fleming insists that all students learn the 'touch' system, When you enter her typing room it sounds like a million wood-peckers are at work because of the noise of the tapping keys. Mrs. Fleming also teaches bookkeeping which causes many students to burn the mid-night oil. 'THIS IS APPHOXIMATELY THE REGION OF MY DOMlClLE,n With such an immense vocabulary does Mr, Carson,our history in- structog express himself, His class es are a challenge to the students as they must consult their diction- aries as well as their texts to com- phrend his lectures. 'COME SEE WHAT I HAVE FOUND:' The girls are always eager to en- roll in Mr. Bethe1's class. Could it be because of his wavy blond hair and big blue eyes ? However, when they found that it was necessary to disect worms, grass- hoppers and slippery frogs they decid ed that biology was a little hard to take, especially before lunch, 'NOT A TERM PAPER 'NITH FEVE FIVE-THOUSAND woansv' J R THAN Mrs. Pearce is often regarded as uOur senior mothern. She has guided the seniors through their last year in highschool. As senior sponsor she has directed the publication of the annual The National Honor Society is und her sponsorship. WWELL, BOYS, YOU CAN'T LEARN ANY YOUNGER' Mr. Drennan has the job of hammering into the heads of every prospective young car- penter in Putnam the art of woodwor . Any hour of the day that you enter the shop you will find it a beehive of activity wi all sorts of furniture in the making and Mr. Drennan the center of it all, giving each boy pointers on his particular pro- ject. Mr. Drennan's classes also keep the broken furniture of the school in repair. WSTUDENTS, HOW YOU KNOW THAT DOESN'T SAY SHUEEKY.' Que es la leccion de hey? A line without which our Spanish teacher, Miss Specht cou1dn't get along. She not only teaches first and se- cond year Spanish, but coaches our girls gym class in basketball and volly ball. Among the numerous othe duties are serving as sponsor the Pet-ettes and directing the P. A. A, I' NXNN-an XX 'GlRLS, YOU KNOW THE QUICKEST WAY T0 A MAN'S HEART I5 THROUGH HIS STOMACH.' Miss Cochran, who has recently come to Putnam City, ie the Home Economics tea- cher. Here the girls learn to cook, see, learn etiquette and home decoration. This department suffered a terrible set back during the Christmas Holidays when the Junior High Building burned, dee- troying the equipment o the Home Eco- nomics Department. But despite this lose, Mies Cochran has managed to keep the girls buey and interested in their work.
