As Sponsor of the Putnam News Review he keeps the 'Jimmie Scoop's' using their noses for news. The cubs are always in a dither trying to make the deadline and put the paper to bed. Besides these duties he is also principal of the junior high, 'YOU MUST NOT LOOK AT YOUR KEYBOARDIU It is such a temptation to use the 'hunt and peck' system but Mrs. Fleming insists that all students learn the 'touch' system, When you enter her typing room it sounds like a million wood-peckers are at work because of the noise of the tapping keys. Mrs. Fleming also teaches bookkeeping which causes many students to burn the mid-night oil. WWELL, BOYS, YOU CAN'T LEARN ANY YOUNGER' Mr. Drennan has the job of hammering into the heads of every prospective young car- penter in Putnam the art of woodwor . Any hour of the day that you enter the shop you will find it a beehive of activity wi all sorts of furniture in the making and Mr. Drennan the center of it all, giving each boy pointers on his particular pro- ject. Miss Cochran, who has recently come to Putnam City, ie the Home Economics tea- cher. Here the girls learn to cook, see, learn etiquette and home decoration. This department suffered a terrible set back during the Christmas Holidays when the Junior High Building burned, dee- troying the equipment o the Home Eco- nomics Department. But despite this lose, Mies Cochran has managed to keep the girls buey and interested in their work.
