'M we - .4 I ,,,k Respice Stellam It is indeed fitting that P.C.A. became a part of the new diocese of Norwich, so lovingly consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, during the Marian Year. XY'e immediately joined our new bishop, the Most Reverend Bernard Flanagan, in adopting the motto Respice Stellamf' and later on in the school year we joyfully welcomed him into our midst. It was natural for us, the seniors, to let our thoughts wander just a little to the day when we would be overjoyed to welcome our bishop once more to our academy. His Excellency seemed to think along the same channels, and we listened attentively as he spoke of our Commencement Exercises. We came to realize that ours has been a singular privilege, that of being the graduating class of the Marian Year. Witli the words ot' our well-loved Bishop in our minds, we endeavored throughout the Marian Year to become more Mary-conscious, more Mary-like. We strove always to look up to the Star, to call upon Mary. We took heed of Bishop Flanagans advice to invoke her help and intercession for our needs, and Our Lady heard our humble supplications. She granted us a happy, fruitful senior year together at the dearest ot' all academies.
