13 Sdzfarml W lVe me fl'0.U'6d me zany ibe ocean lies before III. Nl' We have crossed the by! Our four years of high school have come to an end. Behind us the calm waters are gently closing over the ripples left in our wake. Before us lie the uncertain waters of the ocean of life. How romantic it sounds! As we face the world after our years at P. C. A. we wonder if we can weather the storms often to be encountered on a voyage such as ours. To us, as to His Apostles, Our Lord says Be not afraid. We are putting out to sea during the Marian Year. Surely Our Guide will not fail us. Always unwavering, that Star sends forth her light to all ships in need of succor. Our ships have been made ready. Our dear teachers, the Daughters of the Holy Ghost, and our beloved chaplain, Father Laurion, have cared for them, helping us to chart our course by their prayers, counsels, good example, and their unfailing confidence in us. The rest is up to us. All is in readiness for a successful journey. The course has been charted, the ships are all sturdy and able to withstand the rigors of the ocean. Now that we have crossed that milestone in our life there is no return. Someday, may the fragile bark of our immortal soul glide slowly from the Channel of Salvation and the River of Sacraments, right into the boundless ocean of God's eternal love! Mary, Star of the Sea, help your little navigators realize this one fervent desire. nil'
