Finally! After much hard work Seniors enjoy traditions and Harry's; face real world The beginning of a new phase of life, the end of an old one. The time to grow up and move on. but also to let loose and enjoy the youth within. Semesters seven and fight, being a senior is whr it is about. The end of 7:30 classes finally arrived, making the mornings after Nick's a little easier to face. Friday afternoons at Harry’s with friends, a long lived tradition of Purdue, was not to be missed by any fun loving senior. The traditional Senior Cords were proudly worn reflecting the owner’s four years of hard work and play in the graffiti painted on them. Finally, football games seemed more real to the seniors. as they were moved close enough so that the field could actually be seen. Along with these realities came the anticipation of graduation and the disbelief that it was just around the corner. Even before commencement. the real world touched each senior who decided not to attend graduate school. Interviews came too suddenly, with some companies calling at 10pm the night before they want to meet with you at 9am. For many, plant trips were arranged and job offers rolled in. As the semester came to a close, that special day finally arrived. The many different colors of tassels, representing different majors and individual lives, were turned from left to right, ending undergraduate life at Purdue. A sigh of relief was heard along with the warm tears that were shed for the wonderful moments that were spent along the way. For the last time, cars were packed, leaving behind books, exams, and parties that were encountered along the path of university education. As the cars pulled away and drove toward a new future, a song that was around to carry them through good and bad rushed through their minds, leaving a soft spot in their hearts ... all hail our own Purdue! — Kara Harman Pointed pictures on Senior Cords color the life of each individual senior while attending Purdue. Worn with pride, these seniors display their hard work and fun while attending the Homecoming football game. Applications, interviews, and plant trips. The Job Placement Service located in Stewart Center provides seniors with information about many companies so that they can be more aware of job openings. T Stockbcrgrr
