With the atmosphere remaining fairly unchanged within the doors of Harry's Chocolate Shop over the years, its seems safe to say that Purdue students wil go right on practicing one of their favorite routines for a long, long time. Famous for its chifi, beer, and popcorn, the popular gathering place for Purdue students and faculty is Harry's Chocolate Shop. Our favorite stomping ground for over 60 years. Harry's is always filled to capacity on Friday afternoons, is frequented by regulars every day of the week, and serves many newcomers throughout the year. Established in 1919 by Harry J. 1981 Freshman Fit The Mold Dorm Orientations. The Freshman First Nighter. The President's Convocation. Freshman Registers, and Little Sister Rush are all evidence of the freshmen that infiltrate the campus each year. The 1981 Freshman Class was no different. The excitement of meeting new friends ond the apprehension of at least four years being spent at this huge university could be seen on the faces of the new students as they unloaded their possessions and moved them into their new homes. Like al freshmon classes, the 1981 class put up with their share of “freshman jokes” knowing that they soon would be sophomores and that 1982 would bring a new freshman class to fit the mold. 10
