His stories were always about heroes 3 it seemed that,s all he knew. They never failed to excite me. I always wanted to be just like the men in his stories - to be brave, to save the lives of other men, to participate in tremendous battles, to win medals. The old man admired these men as much as I did. He could remember eating with them, talking with them, playing with them . . . I vowed to be a soldier when I grew up. I longed for their glamourous life My brother died in Viet Nam last week . . .
