Sautcr-Finnegan’s sounds were cnjoyably received. Victory Varieties ... F rom jokes to grand opera—the auditorium series was planned for the low brow, the high brow, the sedate, and the lighthearted. The Hall of Music bore witness to many fine performances during the year. Anyone and everyone could find programs in which he was interested and could find enjoyment. Flathan Milstein, violin virtuoso. gave a concert in the I fall of Music. Also seen there during the past year were the popular Sail ter-Finnegan orchestra and the dramatization of the Trial Scene from “The Caine Mutiny. Convocations To put tlu final touch on our Thanksgiving weekend, the Hall of Music was filled with the voices and music of Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians. The variety presented was enough to satisfy the tastes of everyone. In addition to the melodic fare offeree! the audience, the evening’s entertainment was enhanced by the humor which Mr. Waring aimed at the latecomers. Fred Waring directed a delightful show of variety, music and song. The Music Hall Was Host To Many Famous People Catching us in a once-in-a-lifetime mood after our exciting victory over Michigan State, Bob Hope opened his bag of tricks to entertain us. Using his ever-readv stock of jokes and a few bars of quavery crooning. Boh provided a hilarious end to a successful day. Boh Hope and Jerry Desmond plotted to tickle Boilermaker ribs.
