Later, in i i75, he invested in some banking stock which proved not to l)e a mone --making euture, and again was his attention turned to the farm. He subse(|ueuth- coiuerted his farming interests into U. vS. bonds and real estate in I ' rankfort, and later, in iSgo, was instrumental in establishing the Clinton Count ' Bank, in which enter- prise he has since been an active worker. Mr. Haivelon has nex ' er married, li -ing a devoted life to his mother, who shared his various fortune. until her death. His life has been one of close application to business, and success has crowned his efforts, and now. while on the shady side of life, he has seen fit to share wnth Ptirdue and foster the development of industrial education.
