Club sponsor was Mr. Manfred Grote, Professor of Political Science. President of the club was Ed Antkowiak, a senior majoring in political science. Other officers were: Vice-President, Tom Sweeney; Secretary, Michele DuBose; Trea- surer, Judy Hain; and Program Chairman, Elizabeth Rodriguez. Pictured from left to right are: D. Eichenzen, M. Gables The Gables is Purdue Calumet’s fine arts club. Sponsored by Miss Sigrid Stark, the club kept up its tradition of sponsoring the annual spring art show. Members also sponsored poetry readings by Assistant Professor of English, Mr. Charles Tinkham, who read selections of his published works. Foreign culture was introduced when members watched slides of Germany, and music was introduced in the culture pro- gram by aconcert of the school’s pep band. President of the club was Donald Reichert, Vice-President’s post went to Mary Hluska, while Judy Butinski and Judy Dietrich held offices as Secretary and Treasurer.

The S.E.A., Student Education Association, sponsored by Dr. E. Reed, began the academic year by attending a regional convention at Val- paraiso. Throughout the year they provided tutoring to students in need, sponsored a picnic, attended state conventions and invited guest speakers.
