First row: John Herr, Vice- President; John Cost, President. ®K@ Phi Kappa Theta, Purdue Cal’s and the nations’ fraternity on a regional campus started out the year by usher- ing freshman orientation and ended it by pledging a new group of members. Phi Kappa Theta’s float won first prize in the Homecoming Parade. The fraternity also celebrated pledge dances, a halloween party, ice skat- ing parties, a Christmas party for needy children, and participation in Christmas Week. Faculty advisor was Mr. G. Kach- ons. Sociology The Sociology Club, sponsored by Mr. Robert Anderson, had a fruitful year. Speakers were invited and club members became involved in discus- sions, field trips and the production of a skit. Its purpose is to pro- mote sisterhood among the girls while working with both the community and on the campus in social and charity projects. Many of the group’s activi- ties during the past year were: partici- pation in Homecoming activities, Christmas decorations for Christmas week, a party for the kids of Babes Youth Center, and a New Year’s Eve dinner-dance.
