Beginning the year under student dir- ection, Purdue Music Organization song- sters gathered on Monday evenings dur- ing the first semester to have a good time singing together. Their first per- formance was set at the Honors Day Assem bly where they performed the é Purdue Hymn under the direction of Tim Parlor. Beginning rehearsals on the Christmas work Sing We Know of Christmas , voices blended in holiday harmony, and performances for the stu- dents and the public were given, direct- ed by Miss Cynthia Przondo. Beginning second semester rehearsals were held twice a week during school hours, and with the return of Professor Simpson, music theory was combined with singing for learning and fun. A major step was taken when choir robes were ordered for the group in early spring. The final Ld performance of the Calumet PMO for this year was at Commencement, where they added their inspirational message to the program.
