32 KAPPA Pi DELTA HOUSE at 7204 Ontario near the campus serves as the center of activities for the organization. Kappa Pi Delta Formed in August, 1967 Kappa Pi Delta uses its house at 7204 Ontario Avenue as a base of its Campus operations. Only a short walk from the main university buildings, the house has facilities for discussion, study, reading, counsel- ing, and social activities. Kappa Pi Delta is an ecumenical campus com- munity, open to all students who are sincerely interested in the search for what is most truly and profoundly human. It is a pioneering attempt to draw people of every faith or no faith into a common unity. Kappa Pi Delta channels its energies into a program which includes faculty- led discussions on current and controversial topics, film programs, reading groups, social action projects, open houses for faculty and parents, and freshman orientation. The social side of the program includes dances, groups trips to sporting events, shows and plays, and lecture tours. Kappa Pi Delta is people. extending the hand of friendship to anyone who wants to belong; serving the university, the community, and the individual: cherishing freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, freedom of belief, freedom to learn and experience; thriving on ideas about man and the world. SIGMA IOTA RHO, the first recog- nized Fraternity at Purdue Calumet, was | organized and established in the spring of ‘67. From the original 12 members the Fraternity has grown to a member- Front Row—J. Graziano, v- pres.; R. Sopko, sec.; L. Schreiber, sergeant-of-arms; D. Burdick, pres.; D. Erwin, sergeant-of-arms; J. Gogolak, ship of 23 through a new pledge pro- gram initiated this spring. Membership is not restricted to a choice of study. The activities cover a wide range of events. From splash parties in the mid- dle of winter to tobbogoning excursions | on the dunes. Numerous types of parties such as going away parties for recent recipients of the General Westmore- land Fellowship.
