Its A Homecoming Happening Basketball Homecoming festivities began with pep rally in food lounge at noon on January 12. Parade assembled on January 13 at school and proceeded through community. Entries of clubs were judged and El Circulo Espanol was awarded first prize, Cheerleade rs second prize, and Pi Sigma Kappa third prize. Festivities continued in Munster Fieldhouse as P.U.C.C. Pipers scored victory over Lakeland College. Queen candidates Sherry Becich, Sue George, Marlene Gransinger, Linda Kotulski, and Pat Norman were presented and Sue George, escorted by Ted Porter, was crowned 1968 Homecoming Queen. Festivities culminated with dance in PUCC lounge. PETER PIPER rides first class atop El Circulo Espanol float. FLOWER POWER proves successful. EVERYONE loves a parade. COEDS BRAVE the cold. HOMECOMING QUEEN CANDIDATES (bottom row, | to r) Linda Kotulski, Sherry Becich; (top row, | to r) Pat Norman, Marlene Gransinger, Sue George. Homecoming week proved exciting for five girls nominated as Homecoming Queen candidates. Each organization chose one nominee for preliminary voting and from the field of ten, five finalists were elected. Campaigns by sponsoring organizations followed, with El Circulo Espanol sponsoring Pat Norman; Student Congress, Marlene Gransinger; Sigma lota Rho, Sue George; S.C.O.P.E., Linda Kotulski; and Kappa Pi Delta, Sherry Becich. Final voting was held during Homecoming Week and votes were tallied. At halftime festivities of the Homecoming game, Sue George was crowned Homecoming Queen of 1968 for P.U.C.C.
