Money raising projects were continuous in their success to finance the best Prom ever. Operation of the concession stands at all home games and the selling of Homecoming mums, the slave auction, the egg drive, and the Ugly Man Contest increased class funds. A strong character was needed by the sponsors of the junior class who were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hodges and Mrs. Fredda Davis. Pictured here are the junior class officers eager to dive into next year. They hold three primary aims: To develop leadership, citizenship, and co-operation. Their activities carry us into public speaking, economics, livestock , selection, land and pasture improvement, agricultural mechanics, and community service. They settheir goals high, then work hard to reach them, for they believe that is the only road to success. ABOVE: Leslie Summers is shown with his champion chester white barrow. Friendships are made which the moment you think will last a lifetime. Some do but too often people take friendships too much for granted. Life has taught me to have a friend you must be one and one of the first ways of accomplishing this is by HREACHING OUT . This was chosen as the theme of the 1972 DRAGON and I hope it reminds you of the many beautiful moments you shared with your friends this year. As it once was said. . . To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plantg A time to harvestg A time to kill, A time to heal, A time to destroy, A time to rebuildg A time to cryg A time to laugh, A time to grieve, A time to dance, A time for scattering stones, A time for gathering stonesg A time to hug, A time not to hug, A time to findg A time to loose, A time for keeping, A time for throwing away, A time to be quiet, A time to speak up, A time for loving, A time for hatingg A time for warg A time for peace. Everything is appropriate in its own time. 1972 was our time for sharing our happy moments, fears, anxieties, love, and just every feeling which we experienced through the past school days. Only with the help of the sections editors Terry Smith, Kerrie Mudd, Donna I-Ioward, Mary Frank, Alan Morton, Dave Rountree, and Advisor Fredda Davis was this yearbook possible and lthank them very much for it. Through the 1972 DRAGON I hope you see the past school year just as it was to you. . . .
