On Christmas 1966 I spent a week in Purcell visiting friends and relatives. Since I was interested in the members of the class of '51, I inquired around and found information on all of them. It was so interesting that I am sending it to you. Coach Lester Lane of the Oklahoma Sooners, was presented with a Cadillac last night in honor of his team's 52 straight win. The noted chemist, Dr. Ron Padgett, has just completed his experiment on the new element Gibsonite and is returning home with his two bottle-washers, Ken and Dane Tippit. Secretary of State Bill Hill announced today that his new secretary if Barbara Pounds, who was recommended by President Charles Elder as being the nnst capable in Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ewing announce the birth of quintuplets. The couple have two other children and were not expecting five more so if you can spare any diapers, blankets, etc. please send them right over. Mrs. Ewing is the former Barbara Wilson. Jim Tucker and his wife, Fern Edwards, have just set a speed record in typing. After practicing five years, they now average 72 words a minute. A new bill was passed in the LL S.Senate. The bill provides for the removal of the shrubbery at the bottom of the White House Steps. It was introduced by Senator Norma Brown of Oklahoma. Nancy Dean, concert pianist, will present a theme entitled 'Three Blind Mice' on her program next week. E.R.Thompson will remain another year in the English department at P,H.S. This will be his 15th year. Mary Lou Self and Margaret Tefertiller are still trying desperately to keep their girlish figures - by saddling horses on the Buddy Wilson Bar X Ranch. Richard Grisham, an eminent lawyer has successfully won a breach of promise for Pat Menard. Ed Tefertiller was the prosecuting attorney. Naughty Nancy fKennedyj and Brutal Betty fSparlinj renowned lady wrestlers, made front page headlines when they became involved with the referee, Roy Lee Criswell, but as usual the ladies came out on top. Dorothy uGiggles Colwell has a world famous uGiggling Show on Coney Island with Dale West as barker and Wayne Carberry as cashier. Does it seem strange that Miss Colwel1's show has been going in the hole? The uSantuary,n a home for disappointed women who failed to get their men, is owned and operated by Billie Faye Fox - of his old class mates at Purcell High School Eula Vee Slate and Dorothy Meeks are Uregulars.n Don Padgett is handy man for these ladies, and seems to enjoy running errands for these old maids. The man with the cold shoulder, Jim Ballard, is now owner and operator of the largest ice conpany in the United States. The business, owned and operated by Leta Faye Franks, known as uThe Latest??' really is a beauty saloon, but wouldn't you have thought it something else?
