DEDICATICN We the seniors of the class of l959 are happy to dedi- cate this year's Mirror to Mr. Herman Sherk. Ever since he began teaching at P. H. S. in l927, Mr. Sherk has shown a great interest in his students. As head of our Science Department and founder of our Science Club, he has guided many students toward scholarships and careers in science. Mr. Sherk got his BA degree from Lebanon Valley Col- lege, at Annville, Pa. where he demonstrated his athletic ability on the track team and his vocal ability in the Kolo- zotian Men's Chorus. ln his spare time Mr. Sherk enjoys reading and garden- ing as well as attending football and baseball games. Mr. Sherk's expert guidance and advice have helped his students rank among the best. His friendly manner and enthusiasm have won him the respect and admiration of all his students. For these and many other reasons, we dedicate the l959 Mirror to Mr. Herman Sherk. l 4
