Adminisfrafion AMES T. DOWNIE, superintendent of schools, is another administrative officer. l-le must work with the joint school committee to operate Punxsutawney schools efficiently. HE principal of the high school is Nelson H . Boyd. He is in charge of all school functions and is re- sponsible for various other duties as principal . ARVIN B. CLARK, assistant principal, teaches and has charge of visual aids . HE following interested citizens make up the joint School Committee. Dedicaiion HE Seniors of 1955 also wish to dedicate this yearbook to Jane Ruth one of the most outstanding personalities of the class . Her ability to overcome a severe handicap has been an inspiration to all who know her. She has become one of the most popular members of the senior class . She serves as the capable president of the F. B. L. A., is a valuable member of the Hi Lights staff, and is co-editor for Public Relations . In addition, throughout her school years she has maintained high scholastic rating. After being on the queen's court in her sophomore and junior years, jane, as a senior, was elected Football Queen.
