THE MIRROR ' A Tribute lVith the end of this school yea.r We pupils and teachers of Punxsutawney High School lose one of our most respected friends, our superintendent, Mr. Frank S. Jackson. His education at Mansfield State Normal School, Grove City College, and' Columbia University equipped him ably for leadership in educational activities. His constant service to the community has been noteworthy. The Y. M. C. A., the Public Library, the 'Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, the Presbyterian Church, and other organizations can all affirm his faithful devotion to the cause of good citizenship. Just thirty years ago Mr. Jackson came to the Punxsn- ta.wney Public Schools. In that time the underlying aim in all that he undertook was to improve conditions as he found them. This year because of his tireless efforts the realization of his lifelong dream was attained. Our new bailding speaks for itself. We pupils will long remember his splendid enthusia.sm for all our interests. NVhat would a pep xmeetingi' havebeen without Mr. Jaekson's talk? Because we believed in the sin- cerity of his interest, his feeling was contagious. We teachers Will miss his kindly criticism, his understand- ing, his encouragement toward the highest educational ideals. First of all, and always, he was an educator. Mr. Jackson has done things intelligently and has accom- plished results which have brought him personal satisfaction, as Well as distinction in the educational field, and the respect of all. Realizing his capacity for living, we know that his life in the future will be as full as during the period of his work for us. Through The .7lIi1'9'or we Wi-sh him happiness always. ix
